Fuel Pumps

In Multi-Port fuel injection systems, the fuel pump(s) must be able to supply enough fuel at full engine load to maintain at least 44.5 psi (3 bar) at the fuel rail. At idle, however, your fuel pressure regulator(s) and return line must be able to "dump" enough fuel to maintain that same pressure. Multi-Port systems use a high pressure pump. Throttle body injection systems typically require a low pressure pump supplying 15 to 20 psi of fuel pressure. Three different fuel pumps are listed below. Other pumps may be available, contact Electromotive for assistance. A fuel filter is required between the fuel tank and the pump. For best results, pump and filter should be mounted low and near the tank.
Fuel pump, low pressure, 260 lb/hr, w/o mounting brackets 82126
Fuel pump, high pressure, 200 lb/hr, w/o mounting brackets 82220
Fuel pump, high pressure, 335 lb/hr, with mounting brackets 82235

Fuel Rail Stock

Unique applications often require custom fuel rails. Unmachined aluminum extruded fuel rail stock is available in 6 ft. lengths. The fuel supply tube runs the length of the rail and has an inside diameter suitable for threading to 3/8" NPT.

Fuel Injectors

Electromotive stocks high precision, port style fuel injectors of the latest design. These injectors feature accurate flow rates, low injector to injector variation, excellent fuel atomization and wide dynamic range. They are available in both low and high resistance varieties and all have O-ring on both ends for safe, leak-free installation into your fuel rail and manifold. High resistance (> 12 ohms) injectors are used where only one injector is driven by one driver, as in most True Sequential Fuel Injection applications. Contact Electromotive for assistance sizing injectors for your application.

Fuel Pressure Regulator

Fuel injection systems rely on a known fuel ressure differential across the injectors. To maintain that pressure, a manifold vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulator is required. Electromotive offers two styles: an O-ring regulator designed to mount on the fuel rail and one using hose barbs for all connections. All regulators have a barb fitting for the return side to recirculate excess fuel to the tank.
2.7 bar, O-ring style (39 psi) for rail mounting 84139
3.0 bar, O-ring style (44 psi) for rail mounting 84144
3.5 bar, O-ring style (53 psi) for rail mounting 84153
3.0 bar, Hose Barb style (44 psi) 84244

Fuel Injector Boss, Cap and Assembly

Electromotive offers fuel injector bosses for adding Multi-Port fuel injectors to manifolds or throttle bodies. These billet aluminum inserts come either threaded (3/4" - 16) or 3/4" OD non-threaded. The insert bore is machined to accept the O-ring or port type injectors. The bosses may be epoxied or welded into your manifold. Fuel can be supplied with a fuel rail or with a billet aluminum injector cap (using a standard AN-4 fitting) and hold down assembly.
