
The beauty of the Electromotive Strategic Power Assist Hybrid System is that it is mechanically relatively simple. The shaft of the electric motor is connected in parallel with the internal combustion engine (ICE) crankshaft, and the electric motor is controlled to balance the load of the ICE. It is this precise `load leveling' method that allows the Electromotive system to realize a level of performance not found in previous hybrid systems.
