Long time Sport Compact Drag Racer Ken Scheepers of Flower Mound, TX has been a strong presence in the rotary scene for years. While Ken’s ’05 and ’06 seasons with a new turbo car were a bit of a struggle, ’07 would find the success he had been looking for. Equipped with a lot of knowledge and a new Electromotive TEC3r Ignition & Fuel system, Ken came out swinging. Gone were the inconsistent E.T.s and ignition related engine failures. Posting a career best ¼ mile pass of 7.27 @ 187 mph, Ken finished the ’07 season with 4 event wins and a 2nd place in points on the season. Keep a close eye on Ken in ’08 as he continues to develop the car.

When it comes to production class racing, Prather Racing has made quite a name for itself. Pictured above is Jesse Prather’s 2006 and 2007 SCCA National Run-Off wining F Prod Mazda Miata. Look for Jesse to continue his winning ways as he moves into the SCCA E Production class with his Miata for 2008 sporting a more powerful 1.8l power plant. Also, look for 6-time G Production National champ Kent Prather’s MG to be fitted with an XDI Ignition for the 2008 season.
HP Works
Legendary tuner Larry Strouth and son Junior of HP Works in Colonial Beach, VA get to work on some of the wildest rides out there. While this is just a small sample of their catalog of work, there is one thing they all share in common. Electromotive Ignition can be found on just about every car they tune, whether carbed or injected. Why? Because there isn’t another ignition system they trust more to get the job done.
Nelson Racing Engines
Engine builder extraordinaire Tom Nelson of Nelson Racing Engines in Chatsworth, CA is known for his big horsepower turbo engines. Whether he is building an engine for American Hot-Rod built ’63 Vette on the Discovery channel, or a crazy ’73 Camaro for Hot Rod Magazine editor David Freiberger, one thing remains constant. Electromotive Fuel and Ignition systems control every one of his creations. Tom has noticed first hand the kind of wear ignition scatter can have on engines, so every high horsepower motor that he builds includes the most accurate and powerful ignition system on the market – Electromotive.
